Summer Camp

Are parents allowed to attend and watch classes?

Parents are not permitted to stay during the course of camp. The final day demonstration is open to parents and the general public.

How many campers attend each high school session?

Most all sessions are full with 150-200 students attending each session.

What is the recommended packing list for camp?

How many girls are assigned to each room, and can they room with their friends?

Two girls are assigned to each dorm room, and they may indicate a roommate preference when registering. However, if the other person does not make the same rooming request, it may not be honored.

Are classes during the day only? Are there activities after classes?

All camp activities, including dance classes, are from 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM. All campers go back to the dorm together at 9:30 PM.

What is the difference between a Resident camper and a Commuter camper?

A resident camper is one that stays on the Kilgore College campus in one of the dorms. A commuter camper is one that plans to stay with family or friends in the area or books a local hotel and makes their own daily travel plans.

Is dance training a requirement for camp?

Dance training is not required but it is recommended. The entire curriculum is dance based and at an Intermediate to Advanced level. 

Can you attend multiple sessions of High School Camp?

Yes, you may attend multiple sessions of Rangerette Summer Dance Camp, however you may only stay on campus as a Resident camper for one of the 2 sessions.

If camp is canceled, will we be refunded?

Yes, a refund in full will be immediately processed.

Do you offer refunds IN FULL upon cancellation?

Full refunds are issued from March 30 - May 1. Only partial refunds issued beginning May 2 - May 31. No refunds are issued after June 1 unless the spot can be filled with someone on the waiting list.
